I love looking at pictures especially for inspiration.  Colors, shapes, clothes, fabric.  I love looking at combinations that wouldn't necessarily be placed next to each other.  Pairs that are forced to be together, but end up loving it. ;)  

Sometimes they are obvious though.  Black and mustard.  Always.  Throw a little grey in there and I'm a puddle.

Here is what came from the black and mustard inspirations.  I didn't used to like hearts, but I do now and wear these all the time now.  Especially if you wear a lot of black.  These two are the perfect pairs for you.

Pinteresting things

Happy Sunday Y'all!  I'm Southern in my dreams. Hope you are all coming down from a busy month and saying a silent YES! if you have kiddos going back to school.  Or just a deep breath for having some sort of schedule again.

Once my Christmas decorations are taken down, I feel like my house looks so empty.  I'm looking for some cute things for my half bath.  This is perfection.  Looks like I'll be heading to the dollar store for some soap to unwrap.

We have a ton of allergies in the house.  I think it's time for some house plant help. They say they are really good for cleaning the air.  Maybe I can get better at not killing them. :)

I re-opened the shop and these are my favorite new earrings this week.   And you don't have to decide which pair you like the best because they come together!  You can keep a pair, give a pair or keep both!

Happy New Years!

Happy New Years friends!  You are probably either still sleeping, wishing you were still sleeping or thinking about going to sleep. Drink, eat and sleep some more and you'll be good as new!

I closed Trixigirl a couple weeks ago for some time with my family and to travel.  The 2014 holiday season was like nothing I've ever had before.  I am still in awe of the people that support this small business.  They keep coming back!  It's like baby Target.  So thank you for making this past year the most successful one Trixiegirl has had.  But 2015 will be blowing that out of the water right? ;)

So my thoughts for a while were to clean things up in my shop.  Change and make better.  I started from scratch.  Like I was opening a new store.  I got rid of old things that were just hanging around cluttering up my shop.  It was kind of like deep cleaning a house.  (Which I also have to do.  blech.) Everything from new products, new pictures, new policies (is there a more fun word?), new attitude.

Time for fall outfit ides!

It's almost time for my very favorite season: fall.  Cozy sweaters, leggings and boots are basically my uniform in the fall and winter.  I can't get enough.  Pair that with coffee and a snugly blanket.  You can find me on the couch for months. (that sounds kinda hermit-ish doesn't it?)

Fall might only last about a week here in MN before you know what comes.  I thought it would be fun to put together some outfit ideas to pair with your Trixiegirl accessories.  These are just ideas.  Just like that Pinterest folder you never go back to.  I really need to look at those!

Weekend Outfit

Everyone has or lives with someone that has a flannel shirt.  I really should have saved the 35 flannels that I had in college.  Pair a flannel/plaid shirt with some comfy jeans, a cream cowl and some booties and you will be comfortable and cute!

Dinner Date 

I would wear this any time, but if you are a yoga pants girl (I think that means everyone), this is just a step up.  If you don't want to wear leggings, just wear some stretchy black pants or tights with a black tunic.   Put a long, warm sweater on, pull on some tall boots and top it off with some earrings. Totes Cute. (It's funnier when I say it outloud. Or if I was 9.)

Ball Game

I think I'm speaking to 99% of my friends with this one.  If I can't get a hold of a friend, I should just go look at the ball field.  Early morning comfort is key for those girls. I love this coat (my wallet doesn't), cute pants, shoes and the hat all of my friends love to wear.  

I'm so thankful their kids play sports!

Casual Outfit

I love this outfit.  I love an army green coat or vest with anything.  It makes boring basic pieces, become a little more interesting.  Pair it with some earrings or a clip and some boots and 
you're good to go!

Shop Update

Well look who's been a hum-ho blogger lately.  This girl. 

I'll blame it on spring break...a week ago.  I'll try better this week.   

I had a fun week last week with products.   I'll give you a little run-down here to catch you up.

Here are some little initial stamped earrings.  I was sitting and staring at my desk wondering one of those "woe is me" thoughts.  Then because my desk was a mess I realized I had pretty ideas right in front of me.

Spring earrings in the shop!

I don't know what the weather is like where you live, but I am trying to not to look out the window at the mounds of snow taller than most kids.  So, don't you think some new Trixiegirl earrings would make everyone feel better?  I knew you'd agree.  :)
