How do you find things at a thrift store?

I love it when people ask me how I find things in a thrift store. Like I'm mining for diamonds.
But if you don't like going to stores like TJ Maxx and Marshall's, then just enjoy the pretty pictures in this post.
Yes friends, it is a science. Only certain people can do it and I am a chosen one. ;)
But you do have to have patience and look outside of the box sometimes.
I took some pics of a recent trip to the g dub (GW) (Good Will). Get ready to be amazed.

A ballet box. How many of you remember these? I was having a small party by myself when saw this. I almost bought it for myself. But then there's that whole leotard thing. Um no.

If the ballet box isn't your thing, how about a stuffing cage? I still can't figure out the point of it. Apparently I'm not the only one.

Or how about a really cute Amy Butler planner?....from 2012. Cute cover, but no use to me. I'm not one for living on the past. Unless its around 1920 and involves Downton Abbey.

But I did fine a couple of good things.

I love these silver office baskets. I have grab them when I see them. Organization around the house doesn't have to be fugly or expensive. .99 each thankyouverymuch.

Kinda blurry but the girl likes peace signs (doesn't know what it means) and Justice (likes the glitter). Jean skirt and jeans.

I know. It's all of 3 degrees here in MN. But these were so cute. Don't think I won't wear them with tights and a cardigan. Both are straight from Target.

I love a necklace that's long and chainy. This little beauty is from Target too. But I didn't go to Target to get it. Oh no she didn't!
Oh yes I did.

Now tell me. Do you thrift? Why or why not? And if not, just give it a try!

Cute cute cute! Can I borrow the dress on the left? ;) I love to thrift and garage sale. It's the thrill of the hunt, finding something that no one can replicate. I love hitting the Elk River stores on a Sunday. I make the loop around to GW, SA, and the Thrift Store (yes, that's what it's called). I've found a couple of beautiful vintage dresses there for maybe $5 or $6. Love that!

I buy almost all my kids and my clothes at the thrift store! (I can never find Ben's size.) We have a store by us that is half off the last day of the month. I look for name brands, brand new with tags, and absolutely adorable :). My favorite thing about it filling up the entire cart with lots of new things for everyone and the total coming to $30!! Love this post cuz!
