Sunday favorites

Try this. A sleepover + daylight savings = many extra hours for this mom!  It takes a lot for me to lay down for a nap.  I'm raising a little girl just like that.  

She might miss the wind blowing! Who needs sleep!

So how about a few favorite things I've seen this week. 

I acquired a great collection of pink vintage ornaments last year after Christmas.

 I can't wait to put them on display and this is perfect.  I don't have pink in my home decor, so a splash of it will be a little festive.

I would like to thank Anthro for letting me watch this beautiful frock for months and months waiting for a sale. Low and behold it's gone! Not even clearance A-thro?Whahhhh. I just keep looking at it here, on my phone and the over-priced sellers making a buck on Ebay. 

I love this idea!!! I have tried tons of ideas to keep my necklaces from getting tangled. You put your jewels in between two pieces of the heaven-sent Press'n Seal.  I don't care how horribly uncute it looks.  At least you won't have 5 necklaces stuck together with an earring sticking out of the middle.

I love this idea for an advent calender or countdown calender! I'm gonna hit up Goodwill later today to get started looking for Christmas books. My little reader will LOVE this. 

We don't have any big trees that I can get a branch from...but I have friends that do!  Or neighbors....

How about a good ole favorites post?  But you have to share with the class too.  Got it?  Good, let's begin.

I'll just do it in list order.  I don't want to bore you with my ramblings.  Is that ok?  That I don't ramble?  You sure?  ok.

1. Mr. Selfridge on PBS.  Season 1 and 2.
You can find it online and binge-watch.
That's what "a friend" did with season 2.  Based on a true story.

2. Bare Minerals Moxie in Miss Popular.  Some people buy other things.
I might have a lip product drawer.

3. These Trixiegirl earrings.  Obsessed.  I have a good dealer.
She just started carrying a bunch of new flavors.  Check her out.
It's me you guys.  Did you see how I did that?

4. My girl and her reading obsession.  It gets in the way of everything.  ;) 

Brushing teeth, getting dressed, life....

The good ole $7 moving sale score. 

 

5. Nesting.  Because my friends are pregnant.  

6. Instagram and Youtube.  So much inspiration. Just another shiny object.

A few favs

I love reading about people's fav things. Beauty products, things to make my life easier, gift ideas. Show 'em to me!

First up. Josie Marin. I love all of the products of hers that I have. Here is the newest member of the posse.

It's more of a dark bronze color. My friend Jilly P. would love this color. You can get it at Sephora.  And I'll go with you.  And get another one.

Do you ever just want a good outfit without buying new clothes? Like need an outfit now?  It's called your trusty Pinterest.

Just search whatever outfits you are looking for. I'm not kidding. I've searched "road trip outfit" or "beach outfit". You can be less specific and do it by season. Then save it to a board. You can go back and it will help inspire you when you need ideas!  Is this obvious?

Cherries. Enough said.

Thursday favorites and an explaination

Before the favorites, here is an excuse explanation of why I haven't been blogging.

I didn't feel like it.

Now, onto fun things!

I decided to do a little Thursday favorites post cause we know I love em! I love seeing people's favorite things.  Hence my lipstick collection. :)  At least I'm not on the streets....

Candy Crush.  I don't even know where my time has gone.  Oh yes I do.  To Candy Crush.  Maybe someday I will beat level 65.  Probably not though.  Am I a gamer now?

My favorite self-tanner, St. Tropez. It's a little pricey, but I'm willing to pay it.  And it lasts forever.  Also get the mit and you will never see tan palms! I just saw this deal on tv.  It's pretty amazing. 

I just looked online for this candle to show you and apparently it's a pretty good find!  I found the first one at Marshalls and the next 3 at TJ Maxx.  I just liked the container, but they smell soooo good.  And they are 4.99.  Retails for $28.

I have been a little blog slacker lately. But, it happens right? Just like the dishes in your sink...;)

Thought I'd share something I'm going to do more often. It's just some favorite things. Might be a picture. Might be a product or a saying. I always enjoy seeing people's favorite things.

If you follow me on FB, you know that my mom just celebrated 13 years cancer free.

Whohooooooooooo!

That kinda doesn't cut it for a celebration statement, but it's a daily celebration.

It got me thinking about our funny list of obsessions commonalities.

We talk about it often because it's a materialistic list. Very.

My Favorite Things Thursday-House Edition

Today I am linking up with Carolyn at Silly Happy Sweet for My Favorite Things Thursday!

 

I decided to go house edition on ya! Maybe it will motivate me to keep my house cleaner. Right.

Let's start with how I am in love with this room spray. I shouldn't have gone to the website because it is packed with pretty and I am so sure, awesome products. And it's at Target! Get aloe and green tea.

Then tell your kids you will make their room smell pretty once it's picked up.

Ok, maybe I shop a lot at Target. BUT YOU ALL DO! Right? Can't hide friends.

Here is another. It is a love.

You know method right? You know Orla Kiely? Combine them. And the smell is to die for.

Pear Ginger. Yummy.

I might have bought some.

My Favorite Things Thursday

Ok I racked my brains for this week. Shouldn't be that hard, it's week 2! Lol

I want to have good ones. Here we go. With all 2 things.

 

 

SYTYCD. love. I will be a dancer some day. ;) And then I will wake up. I love this show. Anyone else? Anyone? Anyone?

 

And Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter.

This stuff is good. I love lip gloss, but thought I would try this. The went back for more. It is super creamy. The "Cherry Pie" is good if you want a try a red but are nervous about red.

I just went to look and it's cherry tart. Not cherry pie. Lol
